A lot of Firefox's UI has problems with dynamic application of styles. It's been like this for a while. But if you give me steps to reproduce, I can see if it's Stylish's fault or Firefox's fault.
Hehe... 1.Open an application style for editing (here, that's the one i had the most recent problems with. It's for vista but i don't think it matters). 2. Change something, save. 3. Disable it ... 4. ... it's stuck! Have to close the style. Restart Fx and even then it might still be hanging in there. Try exit, then start Fx again. Will do the same for Enable sometimes.

So, is there a way to fix the 'file's stuck" problem? It's really bad. It happens with appl. styles and web styles. It just screw a new style i was working on. Had to start it all over, line by line. It's a royal pain and a mess 'cause i have to keep a few editor windows(tabs) open 'cause changes don't apply (show) and you never know which one of those changes you might have to go back to. I can't understand why i'm the only one reporting. Doesn't anybody else see it?

Can't reproduce on Linux, at least. If you do it with a simple style, like *{ color: blue !important;} , does it still happen?
Yeap. Had to restart Fx to shake it off. It doesn't happen every time. I make be making changes and they will show, then all of a sudden they won't any more ... but i don't realize it yet, thinking my changes don't work just to find out later (when i decide to restart thinking it's stuck again) that the changes did apply! except, the style is now a mess 'cause i made some other changes that would've worked with a change a few tries back but not with the current one ... Do you still follow me? :-) It's pretty frustrating 'cause i can't trust Stylish anymore. I have to have an editor open with a few tabs in it for every change. I have to copy/paste every change and restart Fx to see what's going on. I have 2 styles i'd like to finish. After that, i'm done with styles, it's just no fun any more.
I am not complaining, because I am grateful for Stylish, I am just reporting so there can be a fix for everyone. Stylish 1.0.3 ff3.5 vista

#2 Sometimes (only SOMETIMES) previews stop applying after awhile, BUT if I copy and paste into a brand new stylish editor,(and close the old one, don't know if that matters) it will apply. It's as if the stylish editor becomes corrupt or is limited in the number of previews it will give you.
Are you sure it's Stylish and not some style you have? Turn them all to see if this happens and/or try a new profile with Stylish only installed. I don't see this, at all.
Are you talking about the Customize Toolbar toolbarbutton Storage Window ! When I open the Customize Toolbar toolbarbutton Storage Window it works fine, close it and then try to re-open it and IT WON'T OPEN AGAIN... and then the 7menubar menus will not open at all after that. I have to do a firefox restart just to be able to open once and only one time again and to be able to open the 7menubar menus again. Is this what you are talking about ? I've noticed it happening for about a month now but it could have been happening much longer than that because I rarely go into this storage window. I have 101 ff addons enabled right now and have not spent the time yet to figure out which addon is causing it. Latest FF 3.6. Stylish 1.0.11 Latest Stylish Custom.

101 addons? Wow. You'd probably be better off installing one of the Firefox 4 betas and trying your hardest to get that down to around 10.

If you're making a more major version sometime, i'd love to see a more dev-c++ style editor or something (:

Is this what you are talking about ? I've noticed it happening for about a month now but it could have been happening much longer than that because I rarely go into this storage window.
