I see, thanks. Didn't work for me. Got 2 files out of three styles selected for export. BTW, xml opens in IE?! (had to reset to Fx). What the 'Overwrite?' is about? I guess, it means you can overwrite already saved file, right?
Thanks! No, there no errors. You see, i selected them all and they were exported (lightningly' fast ;-) as separate xml files. I think there should be some sort of option to combine or not.
0.3.8. Have to restart for the .3.9. And it is fast ;-)
EDIT: it worked with .3.9. Odd. BTW, of course! i made a style for that page but it only covers the part where there's a code, #top (for background). But if a code is small, it leaves the white bg which i can't figure out, DOMi says 'styles' but it doesn't work. * doesn't work either. Any ideas?
If you're going to implement selective combined export, maybe you can also add an option to name that file?... Just a thought. I'm beginning to like that info window ;-) Thanks, ChoGGi!

yea i was thinking about it, just too lazy to add it and me too
2. Export a small style and open that xml. 3. You will see that the blue bg covers only the code part of the page. The rest is white (here). I tried adding *, html and styles to the first line but none of this works.
Thanks, the namespace was it. The } is not missing, it's just a part of the code, there's more but it's not needed anyway 'cause i'm adding it to the bottom of this style Thanks, ChoGGi!
Stylish-Custom-0.4.0.xpi Import: when you import an XML file it uses the enabled tag instead of the checkbox Export: you can choose whether to group styles in one xml file and the file name
Yes you can! Thanks, ChoGGi! Do you know what's new/fixed in the Stylish 1.0.5? I guess np forgot to post changes. I can see that styles are still sticky.
Stylish-Custom-0.4.1.xpi Info: changed Update Style List to say Refresh instead Edit: changed a few things about the page button it sends the style code (no more need for copy/paste) if posting a new style it'll also send the style name
left click takes you to the style page right click takes you to the /edit page middle also does the same as right, but it doesn't replace the style code
What 'toolbar menu to add a style'? Which toolbar? to add to what? Are we talking about the Style Info window?
I think you need to mention that "... right click takes you to the /edit page AND REPLACES the code'". Could be a mess if you don't realize it does ;-)

the stylish icon in the toolbar/status bar (write new style>for this url...). you'll need to refresh to see new styles from it

I still don't get it. When would this happen ( the Refresh)? There's something else i meant to say for a while now. The Install button. I found i never use it. I use Save and Close instead. Either after editing a style i'm installing or not. So, maybe we don't need it there at all ( to save space )?

when you press refresh :) open a new style then open the info dialog, save the style. you'd need to press refresh to see the new style show up and i just noticed refresh should keep the sorting method (it'll be changed in 4.2)

at least one person might be using it you could use #SwitchToInstall to always hide it
Hi ChoGGi,
Not bad. I don't see where is the advantage of a separate extension and why this one could not just be included in Stylish, but I guess Jason and you might have good reasons not to do so.
There is a feature I would like to suggest ... but it would probably only make sense for very few Linux or Unix users :-( and I don't think that you have any influence on that. Maybe Jason does at the point of creating the Stylish editing window, but I'm not sure either. It's about preventing the damned Escape key to kill the Stylish window. All child windows as for extensions, infos, etc can be killed that way in Firefox and most applications. It becomes very annoying while using focus follow mouse (Windows and Mac users won't know what I'm talking about) and a vi based external editor, since the Escape key is used to switch between editing and command mode.
Firefox extensions probably use a framework which handles windows opening and closing, so it's probably not possible to change this behavior. However The DOM Inspector window appears to be at "toplevel" and doesn't get killed that easily.
i think i could do that (did something like that for the info search) which windows? best to make it an option though, i'd say most people use esc to close it
focus follow mouse (Windows and Mac users won't know what I'm talking about)
hey now that isn't nice we can do that too. you can use tweakui to set it up, well other people can... i like clicking and you have eunuch (har har)

i like stylish how it is, but i liked some of the 0.5.9 features so i added them to stylish and posted an xpi, jason mentioned it'd be easier to maintain an extension i'm still learning js, but if jason sees something he likes then i'm happy if he adds it to stylish i think that's about it

The main style editing window, from where you can start an external editor with "It's All Text". I think a confirmation dialog before killing that window if it contains unsaved text will be great. I keep losing stuff by pressing "Preview" and then "Escape" when I don't pay attention to the mouse position and the Stylish window is still focused.
If you happend to add a 'vi mode' to Stylish, I would consider editing everything from there (joke).
Anyway the search feature you added is already a big plus. Good work!

One more good point for this is: The end user (who never plans to create styles due to the lack of knowledge, but wants to use them for convenience) is better off with a straight and simple GUI - while the style developers (errm, i.e. most of us here) can take advantage of more features (which are quite meaningless for the before mentioned end user). So the former just installs Stylish - whilest the latter adds Stylish-Custom on top of that.
It's about preventing the damned Escape key to kill the Stylish window.
Don't mistake me for a Windoze user (at work I'm unfortunately forced to use that gameboy system) - I know what you're talking about. Funnily I never had that issue, though I use the floating focus as well as vi - guess my mind bound "vi" to a text console and would never expect it in some graphical interface, and thus makes the correct conclusion to not press Escape
If ChoGGi makes that an option, I don't have to digg into the topic - I just wanted to mention one can easily change the hotkeys using the keyconfig extension...

Well ... If you're using a mouse to switch between windows, then you're not in a text console. Using a mouse in a text console is possible with Linux and FreeBSD, but it doesn't make much sense. And if you're using vi in X, whether or not in a terminal window, you still have to press Escape to reach the command line.
If ChoGGi makes that an option, I don't have to digg into the topic - I just wanted to mention one can easily change the hotkeys using thekeyconfig extension...
Did you manage to disable the Escape key in FF using that extension? I couldn't find that possibility.
Stylish-Custom-0.4.2.xpi Info: refresh/search/clear keep the sorting method when you press them Edit: if you've changed the style or it's a new style, you'll be asked to save it Options: forgot to make the tools item reset to default
Oh MAN! you just killed my fox! I changed a style, clicked the upper right close window cross, the window went away, a popup asked if i want to save, i thought to myself: ''Nice!", clicked Yes ... poooof! The fox was gone! Interestingly, when i started Fx again, it didn't ask me to restore the crashed session. Good goin' ChoGGi! ;-)
Yeap! It did it again. BTW, what is this for? There's a Save and Close button (which is what i use all the time). Maybe for cases when you have a few windows open and then decide to restart/exit Fx w/out closing all those windows? Right?
ChoGGi, Many thanks! Now you don't lose your code while accidentaly pressing Escape (which has he same effect as the Cancel button). That was the point of my request.
Just a few aesthetic suggestions: - I think the correct answer to the question "Do you want to save the style?" should be "Yes" or "No" rather than "Cancel" or "OK". - To my understanding, "Cancel" means "do nothing". So it is supposed to restore the window without saving its content rather than killing it. In a "save and quit", "quit without saving" or "cancel" dialog, you would expect "Yes", "No" and "Cancel".

also actually fast or slow? :) i'd guessed that was coming
