How Do you write a global style?

edited February 2008 in Stylish
When I download a global style from the Stylish website & then click on Manage styles the new style shows up in the window as Applies to Everything. If I try to write a style of my own the Applies to column is blank. After I save my new style it does not show up in Global styles. What do I need to do?

  • Full step by step, for clarity.

    Step 1) Begin with "Stylish Icon" > "Write Style" > "Blank Style".
    Step 2) In "Add Style" window, "Insert" > "HTML Namespace". Because I assume you're asking about website global styles.
    Step 3) Write some style rules for whatever HTML tag you want.

    If you write something like this:
    body { background-color: black; }

    Step 4) Click the "!important" button, so it becomes this:
    body { background-color: black !important; }

    Don't use @-moz-document for global styling.

    If that doesn't work, there's something else going on, and you'll have to be more specific about it.
