How to eliminate line Break (BR)

DOM Inspector shows the following script in one of the modules in my userstyle.
I am able to eliminate the BR command using the edit function in DOM Inspector
and it achieves the desired effect. But it apparently can't make the edit permanent
and when I refresh the page, everything is back to the way it was before the edit.
How can I eliminate a BR command?

  • Is BR inside DIV#remote_97?

    #remote_97>script:first-child+script+br { display: none; }
    or just
    #remote_97>br { display: none; }
  • Thanks Mikado, that worked perfectly.

    You wouldn't believe how many attempts I made to eliminate the BR command unsuccessfully. As is
    often the case, it's simplest solutions that work best.

    I use the module containing this command three times and it's elimination helps recover significant
    screen real-estate.

    Thanks for your help.
