Fix gmail "me"

Gmail displays "me" as the person a message is from if you send an email to yourself instead of the name anyone else would see if you sent them email.

I've determined that the elements that display this are as follows:

read mail:

< span class="yP" email="blahblahblah@gmail.com" name="me">me</ span>

unread mail:

< span class="zf" email="blahblahblah@gmail.com" name="me">me</ span>

(minus the space in front of the spans)

I've been searching quite a bit but haven't been able to figure out how create a style to change the silly "me" to my name.

Can anyone help?

  • You'd wanna "hide" the original text and replace it with a pseudo-element:
    @-moz-document domain("mail.google.com") {
    td span[name="me"] {
    font-size: 0!important;
    }
    td span[name="me"]:before {
    font-size: 13px!important;
    content: "pudaah"!important;
    }
    }
  • Thank you so much!
  • No problem.
