i just meant i don't know if i'll be able to add it, but if i can i will

till i get around to adding it... the way i usually edit large styles is with the import styles dialog. export the styles you want to work on, edit them, then import and it'll update and apply the style

btw sc can do search and replace

so finally got around to http://choggi.org

    Stylish-Custom-0.7.9b.xpi
    Edit:
automatically updates preview when editing from an external style (thanks to retrofan)
    Global:
amo wanted some issues fixed before releasing it (showed some errors when stylish wasn't installed)
it hasn't been released yet, some more issues, or something like that (getting kinda annoying to be honest)
  • Thanks, ChoGGi!
  • Thanks to God!
Finally you got your website alive again!

Congratulations and thanks for all your effort!
  • I don't get that part about errors if Stylish is not installed. Isn't it what we want? I mean, SC is an addition to Stylish, of course there should be errors if it's not installed!

ChoGGi, i'd imagine you are not done with your site css (just asking, OK?). I would at least use the same hover for links as you use for #main. The white bg looks weird (just sayin'). I'll make a style which - in my opinion - will look good with your favicon unless you plan on changing things there.

before ff4 there was a "requires" tag for install.rdf, and for some retarded reason they removed it, so now instead of being disabled when stylish isn't installed; sc starts up and spits out some errors in the console, and a few other things that are now needed to be changed for approval
so that's a work in progress

you want the wiki pages looking more like the main page?

no the website isn't finished yet, i just registered it earlier today, and uploaded the stuff from choggi.dyndns.org

edit: if you want to do some css for the wiki feel free (something kinda gray like the main page, and the fonts are staying)

You have a bunch of different styles mixed in there (font). It's hard to find a medium between all those fonts. I started a style, WIP! here and since you don't have content on some pages (looks like you will be adding some) it still needs a lot of work.
  • looks pretty nice, yeah still have a bunch of stuff to upload then i need to update the wiki :)
  • Great stuff on the Style, makondo.
I look forward to seeing more - with ChoGGi's approval, of course. :)

Thanks, i don't like it and will work on it when i get more time, probably tonight. It's a challenge to combine orange penguin feet, pipe smoking head and (a few) Shakespearean script font into one cohesive style ... Wink
But it can be and will be done!

    ChoGGI,
your avatar doesn't work. I think you need to re-do it. There was a thread about it and Jason said he has fixed it but something to do with links. I'll go find the thread.
  • Well, here we go ... only took me half of my day to find it! Mad
  • ahem, actually i was going to move my avatar off the google site and on to mine, but i forgot to update my profile...

if anyone notices more links to dyndns, please let me know
  • I deleted my style and don't think i will be able to style it, just too much is going on there Huh?

Don't you worry, i'm working on the forum style
    Test it here just kiddng...
  • Hey ChoGGi, the search field in editor interface is case sensitive, can you change to case insensitive or at least add an option to user select the preferred.

    Thanks!
  • ChoGGi,
i'm using your script for us.o but it doesn't seem to work for me lately. Did i make a mistake somewhere? Is it case sensitive? Do i need those 'i'?

//edit to suit your tastes (i = ignore case)
    var hideThese = [/Facebook/i,/Tumblr/i,/facebook/i,/Appchan/i,/Reddit/i,/Gaia/i,/Google Reader/i,/4chan/i,/Toodledo/];

    the new search or old?

the forums haven't changed nor has the script so it should be fine, i'll try it out soon and see

Good question, I did not know what had changed over time. I'm talking about the find field in current version.

About "old" you mean we can toggle versions?

Open SC Options and you will see a choice of search bars. Try both and see which one works best for you:

^ Speaking of which, ChoGGI, as time passed, i don't remember now which one is what and digging through 43 pages of posts is not how i plan on spending my weekend.
I think a line of explanation or a tooltip explanation is needed there. To new people who didn't follow this thread (or old people who can't remember ... ) 'new' or 'old' terms make no sense.
  • ChoGGi,

i think Barbie asked about this a while back but i don't remember if a button was made for this or what the outcome was, i don't see such a button in the Customize.
I wonder if it might be possible for you to make a button which when clicked will delete all instances of 'xul:', like in this string, for instance:
    #PlacesChevronPopup > xul:hbox > xul:arrowscrollbox

    Doable? TIA!
  • edited March 2012
should be quite easy to do
i figure the icon'll be xul: with a red circle and a line through it?

    Options:
added some clarity to the new/old search option
    Edit:
added a button to remove xul: from copied code

    Korean Translation updated

Hehe, whatever sounds good to me ... you know, i will change it anyway Hehe

    Thanks, ChoGGi!
  • Very nice, ChoGGi! Thanks! :D
  • i also added the updateurl back to install.rdf, can't be bothered with amo (at least for SC)

Oh the ego! I meant: '... whatever, sounds good to me ... '

    Thanks, "Dear ChoGGi"! Thank you!

For those styling the buttons, the ID is: #RemoveXUL

I'm puzzled about that #StyleId. What is it , why is it a textbox, and how is it to be used?

Also, - and i think i did ask about this before, sorry - is it possible to make it so that the Next/Previous arrows for the 'new' search always show? As of now, they show only after you type your first term and hit Enter. I know it's the Fx search bar, just asking if it might be possible to improve. Like, display: -moz-box or visibility: visible or something but it probably needs a js.

it's for showing the id of the style from stylish.sqlite, i reuploaded 0.7.9c so now it actually works

    .findbar-find-next,
    .findbar-find-previous{display:-moz-box!important}

    Thanks!
    But then what's #ID?
I wonder what the use of any of those would be ...
  • edited March 2012
#ID converts #ID to [id="ID"] and back again and again...

yes i know i need to update the wiki...
    :)
