  • I personally have no good answers to your questions. If you've noticed our conversation above, ChoGGi seems to be missing for a long while now. Unless somebody with brains steps up with fixes for S-C, i'm afraid we might be looking into a dimmed future here.

    ==================
    But most of all, i'm really concerned about ChoGGi. He used to answer my emails w/in a day or two, it's been a week this time...

    Great news! ChoGGi is 'alive' - he says - '... working like a dog ...' ( ... dog? My dog has no idea what 'working' means. Now, 'walking!' that's another matter Excited).

    Anyway, i wonder if zrazzano, LouC or someone else with brains could look into fixing those issues as it doesn't seem like ChoGGi will be able to get to it any time soon.
  • It's too old. ChoGGi has moved accross his country and didn't have a connection for a while. If you'd check, you'd see that links point to old urls which have been out of service for a while now. In some post by ChoGGi above in this thread, you will find links to the new help, etc.
  • link to download Stylish-Custom-0.7.8f.xpi (remove .rename to install)
    Options:
    added option to toggle between orion editor or old editor (uses stylish pref: extensions.stylish.editor)
    Global:
    getting orion to work with sc is too much work for me so i'm sticking with the old editor
    added a firstrun pref to switch back to the old editor

    for those of you using orion, sorry but at least i can get some work done on other parts of sc instead of messing with orion (i thought the solution i had would work, but too many bugs cropping up so)

    as for the website, the provider i'm with now seems to allow me to use port 80, but i can't connect to it

    auto!important is working fine now...
    :)

    as for the bad news, i've got skyrim so next update might be a little while away

    ChoGGi, awesome! Thanks a lot! All i personally wanted was !important. I'm not impressed with Orion at this point anyway, too buggy.
    Take care, thanks again!
  • Yep, that's good
    Thanks!
  • Hi ChoGGy and Thanks for this release!
    I just wanted to tell you that I'm unable to open Stylish-Custom preferences.

    Always I try to go to:
    Add-Ons > Stylish-Custom > Options
    I receive the following error (in Spanish):

    ______________________________________________________

    Error de lectura XML: entidad no definida
    Ubicación: chrome://stylish-custom/content/options.xul
    Número de línea 66, columna 6:

    ----------------------------------------^
    ______________________________________________________

    This error is still happening, even after using the following values (in any combination):

    extensions.stylish.editor;0
    extensions.stylish.editor;1

    devtools.editor.component;textarea
    devtools.editor.component;orion

    I hope you could give me any clue in order to solve this.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the update ChoGGi. Glad you are okay.

    #1
    Just to note. Firefox8: The Stylish-Custom site is version 7.7 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish-custom/?src=ss and they have NO:
    Insert Text, Auto insert !important;, New searchbar with NextPrevious does not work, No insert from the InsertMenu (DataURI, namespace).
    All those 8,800 downloaders since March 28 2011 are stranded and abandoned.

    No instructions on how to install these xpi. I had to search google for instructions.
    For others (beginner level) that don't know how exactly:

    ● Download from link
    ● Save ( to Desktop)
    ● Rightclick on the Stylish-Custom downloaded icon on the Desktop
    ● Click Rename
    ● Remove .rename (will get warning it will damage-it's okay it won't damage)

    THEN FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
    http://wiki.lilyapp.org/HOWTO:tell_users_how_to_install_.XPI_files

    ● Make sure Firefox is opened
    ● Drag the Stylish-Custom downloaded link onto any Firefox webpage
    ● INSTALL Popup will appear.
    ● Install same as you install a firefox addon.
    ● Restart firefox.

    Seems pretty clear:
    link to download Stylish-Custom-0.7.8f.xpi (remove .rename to install)...
    KaaMoS,
    those values have nothing to do with the Options dialog. They're selectors for editor, Orion (the new one) or the old editor.
    The Options window opens fine for me. Try uninstall/restart/clear cache/restart/reinstall and if it still doesn't work, do the usual (remember TMP troubleshooting? the same applies here. Some ext. conflict is quite possible).

    ChoGGi, if you're still there - just release the 'f' version, works fine (well, i don't know what KaaMoS error is about but it works all right for me).

  • ^ spoke too soon. ChoGGi, errors don't show:

  • ChoGGi, I'm glad that you are alive and that you came back and did a quick fix!
    But could you fix the following issue?

    STR:
    1. open any style
    2. use auto !important;
    3. hit CTRL+Z to undo that

    What happens:
    The whole style's text becomes highlighted, so if you type just a single sign - the whole style will be erased.

    Expected behavior:
    Style's text is not highlighted.

    This bug has been around since the beginning. I've posted about it somewhere in this thread. No solution has been ever found, apparently this is controlled by Fx. It's very irritating but i've learned to move the cursor before i do anything. The same with errors highlight. I just make sure i know where my cursor is (when highlighted, there's no cursor either).
    Of course, if there's now a fix, i'll take it!

    Do you see errors in your editor?
  • About the problem I've told before:

    Error de lectura XML: entidad no definida
    Ubicación: chrome://stylish-custom/content/options.xul
    Número de línea 66, columna 6:
    ----------------------------------------^

    Seems to be this is related to (es-ES) localization.

    I've tested on clean profiles, using Firefox 3.6.24, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 and 11.0 (all of them x86 and using es-ES). All suffered the same problem.

    I tested with Firefox UX (which comes in English only) and Stylish-Custom options worked as usual.
    I remember that this isn't the first time I've quoted problems with Spanish (Spain) Firefox Localization and Stylish-Custom in this thread (no mention that Stylish-Custom has translation errors on its "es-ES" version).

    So I'd also like to help with Stylish-Custom "es-ES" translation. How could I do that?
  • Anybody knows how to see the errors now? I'm stuck! Can't update a big style 'cause there's an error and i can't ind it.

    This kind of works, but the errors are laid out horizontally. Still clickable though.
    @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);
    @-moz-document url(chrome://stylish/content/edit.xul){

    #errors {-moz-binding: url("chrome://global/content/bindings/textbox.xml#textbox") !important;}

    }

    Genius!! Thanks lot!
    I had to go checking manually ... no, it wasn't fun.
    I added display: /*inline-*/block !important; (either works, of course)

    Thankyou!

    added english translations to the other langs
    @Kaamos, you can help translate on babelzilla.org

    if there's no more bugs i'll stick it on amo

    Thanks ChoGGi! When using selected (text) for errors, it seems to be inline. Intentional? It's easier to see errors if they're displayed as a block. Just asking, i use clickable option anyway.
  • Haaa....
    That's good : the error function is back!
    :-)

    A request:
    Now i try to make compatible userstyle (-moz/-webkit...etc...), the error panel became crazy :
    A solution for that?
  • Stylish doesn't seem to like -webkit thing. Post a separate thread for Jason, this is not S-C problem.

    auto !important; feature doesn't work with Orion editor. Could you please fix this? I like Orion editor.

    I'd say bug Jason about this one.

  • Hi Dear ChoGGi!... the link times out.
  • might need to wait for dns to update, try http://75.154.97.210
  • Same here, ChoGGi... even using that IP address.
    Connection Time-out.
  • 10 hrs later - still times out.
    Just tell us what's coming ... anything good?
  • ...uhmmm... what's wrong with using Google Code a bit more, or SourceForge instead?
    Unfortunately I always have connection problems with dyndns site (since I knew about ChoGGi's project, like a year ago).
