    decided to alter the "stylish info" coloring a bit, shamelessly loaned the colors from http://userstyles.org/styles/1974 and adapted the border to my liking - seems to fit on NNL:)

    here's:

    @namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);

    @-moz-document url(chrome://stylish-custom/content/info.xul) {
    treechildren::-moz-tree-line,
    treechildren::-moz-tree-separator { border: 1px dotted !important; }
    treechildren::-moz-tree-separator { border-width: 0 0 1px 0 !important; }
    treechildren { background: #2d2d2d !important; }
    treechildren::-moz-tree-row(even) { background: #2d2d2d !important; }
    treechildren::-moz-tree-row(odd ) { background: #202020 !important; }
    treechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text { color: #dedede !important; }
    treechildren::-moz-tree-line,
    treechildren::-moz-tree-separator { border-color: #777 !important; }
    treechildren::-moz-tree-row(focus, selected, current),
    treechildren::-moz-tree-row(focus, selected, odd),
    treechildren::-moz-tree-row(focus, selected, even)
    { background: #44b !important; }
    treechildren::-moz-tree-cell-text(focus, selected, current) { color: #ddefff !important; }
    treechildren::-moz-tree-separator(focus, selected, current) { border-color: #ddefff !important; }
    treechildren:-moz-tree-cell{border: dotted 1px #4d4d4d !important;}
    treechildren:-moz-tree-row, treechildren:-moz-tree-cell{border-width:0 0.5pt 0 0.5pt !important;}
    treechildren:-moz-tree-column {border: none !important;}
    }

    had to copy-paste several times and then check I'd pasted valid stuff... I'm using the same style for the sidebars, including wizzrss, so there's plenty more - which should be cleaned out.
  • ^ What's this about? Should i post my styles here too? ;-)
  • Posted By: Wongoic. Its nice if you can add sort down too. Thx.
    i'll give it a try
    You should grey the box so people know its only for copy.
    good idea
    Thx. I like to have a fast way to export all enabled styles too.
    i could add a select enabled button to the export dialog
    About save menu in editor I like the idea of a save menu that it saves space :) But can you make it work in this way? Click the word save tosave. Click the arrow toopen menu.
    should be able to
    Posted By: makondoWhich version are you using? There's no dropdown menu for Save buttons any more (in the latest version 0.5.0).
    save menu and close are the default buttons :)
    ^ What's this about? Should i post my styles here too? ;-)
    if you want, links would be better though (style development would be the place if it's a wip)

    Default buttons where? Which 'Save' are you talking about? The one in the editor doesn't have a menu. It used to, remember? And it was a pain in the ah! I like to be able once again to quickly click Save and go on. Please, please, don't do this again. If you have to please everyone, make another Save button with menu and put it in the Buttons tab. Pleeease!

    ^ about the style up there. It was a joke. didn't understand why DMCrimson posted it there and i thought why wouldn't i post mine here too. A joke. Sorry. ;-)
    But, why DID he post it here anyway?

    And that's exactly why i like it! ;-)

    A link to the guide is a good idea and should go under Options in the toolbar button menu.
    That's odd, my addonmanager says 0.5.0 and I have the dropdown. I've had problems updating this though... I had some earlier version, I think it was 0.1.5 or something similar, and tried to update to 0.4.9, and ended up with 0.1.2:D
  • the buttons tab in options, it has a save menu you can use

    yeah i figured it out :) just thought i'd mention in case anyone else wanted to do so
    it doesn't seem to be on userstyles, so i guess he just posted it in case someone else wants a dark info listing

    CHoGGi, do you know why is it if i copy/paste posters names here, i get this: # DMCrimson?

    Oh, and i see about the menu, forgot all about it (after week of discussions! ;-) ... But why are you saying: 'should be able to" then? Isn't it what Wong as asking about?

    OK, let's clear this out (or attempt to!).
    To Wong and DMCrimson:
    In the Options/Buttons tab - check which Save button(-s) you want to use.

    something to do with ids?

    ? i've added it to 0.5.1
  • Okidoki ... 0.5.0:
    image
  • Sry where is 0.5.1? I want to try. I cant find it at your site or amo.
  • It's not released yet. But isn't the Save menu button what you're looking for? You have to check the box next to it in the Buttons tab.
  • he wanted a button and a menu in one (you can click the button or the menu)
  • makondo: didn't even think I'd be able to alter the button from there:D I say cool!
    Stylish 1.5.1? 1.0.5 more likely? SC is at 0.5.0:)

    Anyways, it's cool!
  • edited August 2009
    Sorry, DMCrimson, it is of course 1.0.5, looked at the wrong line.
    Do you mean a tab called BUTTONS doesn't ring a bell? ;-)
  • makondo: it didn't, but now does:D
  • ;-)
    But really, the reason i'm asking is because it was my idea to put them all there, seemed like a 'smart move' but if people can't find them there than it's not all that smart, uh?

    1.What's with the chat link on your guide page? It keeps saying 'Closing Link: 127.0.0.1 (Banned)' no matter if i type in a username or use whatever is in the name box.
    2. I forgot about that export as xml. And why grouping is only available if you chose xml?
    3. The Guide button in the Options is dead.
    4. Both revert buttons do not work for me. You say:
    Posted By: ChoGGifixed a bug with revert all not always saving the correct code
    and i hope it is fixed 'cause i was going to post about it. I will check it later but as of now, both do nothing here.
    5. Copy/paste names? Don't see this.
    6. The new Find bar is as fat as my behind! Will have to work on that (the Findbar that is, easier ;-)

    Thanks, CHoGGi!
    Oh, just saw your edit! That was one of my points, gonna try it, hold on.

    Forgot to mention - a special thanks for that one! image

    BTW, something is wrong with the file. I install it and on restart Update notifier tells me that i have 0.5.1.x and there's 0.5.1 is available. However, everything works and looks as it suppose to in .5.2 from what i understand.
  • 1. it's just a link to the miibit? chat here http://forum.userstyles.org/comments.php?DiscussionID=2876
    2. you want a bunch of styles stuck into one file?
    3. yes it is :) (try the 5.2 link again)
    4. seems to work fine here
    5. it's just when you double click (you'd need to have the style already opened, i just added them as i would like to be able to save the changes sometime)
    6. doesn't look big to me

    7. changed the version number

    1. Chat - i know, what i'm saying is it doesn't work. When clicked on your site, takes you to the sign in (or whatever) site, click Connect there and there goes nothing with the message 'Banned!" Not important, really. I don't use it anyway, just thought you may want to know, since the link is on your site.

    2. Yes. What's the xml again? I mean why would i use it? It opens a page full of gibberish. What i would like to see is an ability to output styles list in html format, like we can (or used to be able to) bookmarks or like MR Tech Toolkit does the My config - in BBCode and/or/html. Then, you can choose some styles, save them as html, lets say, and open as a page with a clickable list. But! Maybe we don't need it ...
    Anyway, what the xml is good for?

    3. Still don't get the Copy/Paste part, sorry. I see you have to DblClick to open a style, then DblClick on either field + Rclick to Copy. Sorry, i don't get when/why this might be useful.

    4. And the Findbar is still huge! First of, it's too wide - it squeezes the URLbar to a button! and it's too high. I guess i can style it for my style.
    Here's what i see with my styles disabled:

    1. i'll leave it around for now, seems to be a problem with mibbit
    2. don't open it in firefox. it eats the line breaks, i'd mentioned this in the guide :)
    it can store other info like the name, update url, and enabled state
    3. not much it's useful for now (i was thinking ctrl+click to edit it then it would save)
    4. i tried it on a clean copy of ff 3.5.2

    ChoGGi,
    Is there any chance you can eliminate the space between Update button and Save (another words, the space between button, period). The same on top toolbar - see above, !important/Merge? TIA!

    EDIT: crossed posts!

    Is there any way i can have your old Search bar back?

    I'm having a really bad time with the new Find: the not found message (which reads something like 'Reached the end blah, blah, blah, blah, blah ....) stretches the window. The spaces i'm talking about is the space between left buttons and right side buttons (don't know which ones you show in your editor but you can see the space in my shot above, it's right in the middle). The same on the top toolbar: Merge and Comment buttons are at the right side, the rest is on the left, space in between.
    With all this, there's no way to resize the window and still have it useful.
    I guess, you didn't see my edit above: is there any way to have your old Find back?
    TIA!

    Oh, and the new findbar doesn't jump to 'next'/'previous' but i guess it's not your problem. Can i have your Findbar back?
  • I can't figure this out. I open an enabled style for editing. All of a sudden, the enable box is unchecked and style is disabled on Save. You have to make sure it's enabled before you save/close it. This is new (bug).
  • I guess, you didn't see my edit above: is there any way to have your old Find back?
    there's an option for the old search in the general tab
    or you could hide the not found stuff
    .find-status-icon[status="notfound"], .find-status-icon[status="notfound"]+.findbar-find-status{display:none!important}and what sort of jumping should be happening?
    With all this, there's no way to resize the window and still have it useful.
    the space in between them shrinks
    you could try hiding the flex between them and see if that works better

    does it switch after you do something or is it unchecked when you open it?

    Thank you! It's not just the space. The new bar doesn't go to the next/previous. So, unless you manually scroll the whole code, you don't see where it is (the highlight). Well, i don't see it, anyway. I like the 'old' bar for simplicity - just click one button find, find, find and color for not found. Nice and easy. Plus, the 'clear' button! (the new one doesn't have it).

    Got rid of the space, apparently, this works:
    #stylish spacer { display: none !important; }

    Still not sure what happens with enable/disable. Of course, it doesn't happen now ... But i believe it was disabling while i was editing a style.
